Coal Mines require Silver to transport Coal along Routes built to neighboring Cities.
There are coal mines on Land as well as coal mines by Water. A unit of coal is worth 1 Reputation point in the City it is transported to. If the warehouse is full, the Surplus Coal can be sold for 3 silver each. After the coal mine is exhausted, it can be either restored by 10% using an Engineer or sold for 378 silver (land) or 399 silver (water) and rebuilt nearby.
Coal can be used to:
- Transport all other types of Resources as well as Passengers.
- Speed Up contracts with a remaining term of less than 90 minutes. This includes steel factories, brick workshops, titanium smelters, passenger rides, farms and (except coal) mines.
- Participate in some Encounters.
Some Coal Mines can serve two Cities at once and should be priority for Upgrade to level 5 where the amount of Resources available would be Infinite.
On Land[]
Contracts[]
The Time required to complete a Contract depends on the Locomotive's Speed and Level of Route to transport Coal to the City. The Coal and the Experience as the revenue in the table can't be modified by any other factors. While the Efficiency corresponds to a cost factor in the table. Using Basic Carriages, although a Standard Carriage is possible, the Carriage is marked as ineffective. Using fewer Carriages than possible reduces efficiency even more.
If no Locomotive is available, the game will display a Default Loc with 1 Basic Carriage as a placeholder.
By Water[]
Contracts[]
The Time required to complete a Contract depends on the Cargo Ship's Speed to transport Coal to the City. The Costs is dependent upon the Steamship's Ratings in Efficiency as a dividor and Capacity as a factor. While the coal revenue will be affected by the Capacity. Experience depends on the Level of Contract only.
